Inner Design collaborates with innovative minds in the creation of furniture that encourages moments of pause and rejuvenation.

Our mission is to elevate spaces through contemporary furniture, benefiting the well-being of all. Our first product, Shanti, is a statement piece for modern spaces, infusing peace and aesthetics into any environment, while offering a myriad of experiences, from introspection and meditation to a momentary escape.

Inner Design is currently collaborating exclusively with Belgian-based companies for the creation and production of Shanti, partnering with artisans who share our commitment to quality and excellence in every aspect of their work.

Meet the team

Quentin Taymans

CO-FOUNDER & CEO

Quentin is an engineer with a passion for design, art, and self-development. He has accumulated 10 years of experience in the real estate industry. His mind is constantly brimming with projects and aspiring to make a meaningful impact on his surroundings.

A turning point in his life occurred when he embarked on a solo journey to an ashram in India for two weeks a year ago. During this transformative experience, he discovered the power of meditation. Inspired by his time at the ashram, he conceived the idea of creating a dedicated environment where individuals could temporarily escape the demands of their work environments. Quentin's mission is to provide everyone with the opportunity to cultivate inner peace and evolve into better human beings.

Diego Libbrecht

CO-FOUNDER & COO

Diego is passionate about contemporary interior design, hospitality, cooking, travel, and music. He's an incredibly social person who enjoys hosting and bringing like-minded individuals together. Over the past decade, he has built his career in commercial roles within the luxury hospitality industry, most recently at a leading hospitality brand representing unique design-led hotels around the world.

His previous experiences equipped Diego with a discerning eye for quality and a deep understanding of customer service excellence. His affinity for design and his knack for creating welcoming spaces, in his personal and professional life, are integral to his role at Inner Design, where he infuses each project with his passion for crafting memorable and engaging environments.

Timeline

November 2022

Inner Design's journey began with a spark of inspiration in the offices of Hermès in New York, where Quentin discovered the concept of a meditation pod. This moment of discovery set him on a path of innovation and heritage, leading him to India where he envisioned a new take on the product, infused with a spirit of purity and sustainability.
February 2023

Upon his return, Quentin's online search for similar concepts led him to London based industrial Designer, Rajvi Bhogaita, whose initial design, Shanti, resonated with his vision.
March 2023

Quentin's childhood friend, Diego, quickly joined the venture. Diego is based in London and has a commercial background for a design-led hospitality brand. The complementarity of Quentin and Diego’s experiences and skills fueled the development of Inner Design.
April 2023

From the early stages, they partnered with the Belgian product design company, Futurewave, to refine and adapt “Shanti”, first imagined by Rajvi. For Quentin and Diego, this collaboration was not just fueling their entrepreneurial spirits, but it was also the start of a superb human experience.
September 2023 – March 2024

The prototype development was a thoughtful process, blending the co-founder’s visions with Futurewave's expertise, leading to a prototype that is not only design and functional, but also a catalyst for well-being.
